CCBC

Well, I was about to read the Harry Potter Series again, but instead I got hooked on a mystery series. Ever heard of the Stephanie Plum Novels? One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three to get Deadly, and so on and so on… she has a total of 18 right now… I read the first one, One for the Money last week, and loved it! The same three characters are followed throughout the series, but it focuses mainly on Stephanie Plum. I am currently reading Two for the Dough and I have ordered novels 4-6 already (borrowing 1-3 from my sister). I’ve enjoyed getting to know the characters, trying to figure out the mystery, and always keeping me wanting more!!

It’s a big switch from the Twilight Series!! But still really good!

Emma Watson Talks College

Cedric Vs. Edward
(Robert as Cedrick in Harry Potter)
MTV has asked Robert Pattison what he thought about the Harry Potter Series. Robert Pattison played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Edward Cullen in the Twilight Movie being released Nov 2008.
Robert answered, "Does it make me a traitor? 'Harry Potter' was what made me become an actor. I credit 'Harry Potter' with everything else that's come since for me. I didn't know what I was doing before that. I hadn't read the books before doing the movie, so at first I read it just as an acting exercise. But I really enjoyed it! But I think Edward would kick Cedric's ass, to be honest."
I think I have to agree with him... :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HERMIONE GRANGER!According to JK Rowling's Website, Hermione Granger's birthday was September 19th.

THE VERDICT IS IN!! The case that has been on-going since October 31st, 2007 is finally over. The court ruled in favor of JK Rowling, they ordered that the book The Harry Potter Lexicon will not be published.

JK Rowling releaseed this statement: "I took no pleasure at all in bringing legal action and am delighted that this issue has been resolved favourably," said J.K. Rowling. "I went to court to uphold the right of authors everywhere to protect their own original work. The court has upheld that right. The proposed book took an enormous amount of my work and added virtually no original commentary of its own. Now the court has ordered that it must not be published. Many books have been published which offer original insights into the world of Harry Potter. The Lexicon just is not one of them."

Steve Vander Ark, the author of The Harry Potter Lexicon, released this statement: "I've always been a fan of Harry Potter and of Rowling and my hope all along was that we'd find an amicable way to settle this. I'm disappointed, but this is the way it went and I don't hold any ill will at all. It was a question of law over a difference of opinion and, in a way, I'm glad that it's finally over."

Congrats to JK Rowling!!!

IMAX

HBP will have 30 minutes of 3-D footage shown in Imax Theaters. The Order of the Pheonix also had Imax footage, but there was only 17 minutes. This one should be pretty good!!!

Top 5

Top Five Tuesday (last week's)
Thanks
Really, Are You Serious for this idea!!

Here are my TOP 5 answers:

1.) How long have you been blogging?
My first blog entry was on October 19, 2007 but I didnt actually go public with my blog (give out the website to anyone) until November 7, 2007. (my one year anniversary is coming up!)

2.) Link to your first blog post ever?
first:
Uptown, Midtown, Top Down!
When I went: Public

3.)What is the one driving force that actually made you create that blog account?
well, I explained it in my first blog... People always tell me I have a lot to say, so I should blog about it... I think it was a nice way of saying that I talk too much and this is my way to let it out... however, I never would have started blogging if my sister, Stephanie, had not introduced me (and convinced me) to start my own.

4.)How did you come up with your blog name and what were other names you considered?
I was throwing around a lot of different names... I wanted something personal as well as creative/catchy sounding. I asked a lot of people to help me, but my sister and my friend Val helped me the most. My sister used to always call me Oddity, that was her nickname for me, and I am VERY clumsy, so thats how 'Clumsy Me, Oddity' came about. I honestly dont remember the other names that were tossed around...

5.) Post a link to your favorite blog post ever.
I had to give you three to choose from, because these crack me up!
Cell Phone Singing
This Is Where I Get It From
Car Farting

My Street!
God was looking out for us! At my sisters, we only lost power for 2.5 hours. My house only has minor damage, nothing too bad. Although we are still out of power, so my sister is taking me in for a couple more days :)

The beach house in Surfside only suffered minor damage on the outside of the home, nothing on the inside! We were SO lucky with that one!

My uncles sail boat in Kemah did not have any damage!! YAY!

All of my family is safe and healthy - what more can you ask for??

FALSE ALARM

Because of Hurricane Ike, I was not able to go to SeaWorld... but we have rescheduled the trip for November... so I have to wait just a little while longer!!! But thank you for all the well wishes!

I will post some pictures I took of the destruction Ike left behind a little later today...

CCBC I finished Eclipse, and I am now over half way through the last novel, Breaking Dawn. It is SO good! I was basically reading all weekend because of Ike, but I never got bored once from the books!

Sea World - Here I Come!!!

This weekend I am going to SeaWorld San Antonio with 3 of my friends!! I am SO excited!! I LOVE SeaWorld!! And it’s one of my favorite trips every summer… last time I accidently totaled my car on the way up there… so Brian is going to drive my car this year… I'm just too scared!!I HAVE to feed the dolphins, see the Shamu Show, take the beer tasting class, ride the rollercoaster’s, and take bunches of pictures!!!

For some of my friends this is the first time they will ever go to SeaWorld! I can’t wait to see what they think of it – I always think it’s a BLAST!

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend!!!

Clumsy Me...

It seems I cant go through a weekend without doing something embarrassing and/or clumsy. So what would make the beach weekend any different??

On the way to the beach house, Cheryl and I stopped at the grocery store to buy some food for the weekend. I needed eggs, and they were buy one, get one free – awesome! So I got two cartons of 1 ½ dozen eggs… harmless enough…

Still don’t know how I did this.. but as I was loading the groceries onto the conveyer belt, I somehow managed to grab the first carton, and only the top of the second carton… which sent 18 eggs crashing through the wire basket and all over the floor (and my foot).

I just froze.

Embarrassed.

Not a single egg survived.
Thank goodness the grocery store workers thought this was hilarious and weren’t upset and even gave me a new carton free of charge :) Thank you Randall’s
And I did not manage to take a SINGLE picture the whole weekend!!! Sorry!! But we all had a great time, perfect weather, and I think we all got a little burned :( Luckily, mine will turn into tan - because I am Italian, and Italians are the BPOE!!! :)

Cross-Country Book Club

As you know, I went to the beach this weekend. When I left, I was only about 150 pages into the second book, New Moon, but I finished it this weekend! I couldn’t put it down! I only had about 40 pages left, so I finished them last night – I am starting the third Twilight novel, Eclipse, today. A lot of people say this one is their favorite, so I know I will enjoy it. Book two seems to be the one everyone enjoyed the least, but I was not disappointed AT ALL!! I loved every minute of it!! Hope the rest of my cross-country book club is enjoying the series as well!!!

Cross-Country Book Club

Well, I started Twilight – and I will probably finish it TODAY! I only have about 50 pages left! It’s so entertaining and such a good story it’s hard to put it down!! I can’t wait to start the second one… I even had a dream that I was turning into a Vampire last night! Haha – probably because I read it until I fell asleep…. Anyway, I can’t WAIT for my cross-country book club to read it and anyone else that wants to get started on these novels – I am excited to see how the movie is going to turn out as well!! I’m sure it will be GREAT!
