Wordless Wednesday's

Yesterday Morning... Everything looks normal from this view...
But I couldn't find Vito... (do you see the little guy snuggled behind my shams??)
Apparently he likes a lot of cushion
(excuse the poor quality of the photos - taken with my phone!)

Twilight Review

I have heard from MANY of my friends (bloggers and non) on what they thought of the Twilight Movie... so here is what I think...
***I mention specifics, so if you don't want to hear it, don't read it!***

Over all, I was a little dissapointed... especially with the special effects. I thought some of their lines were a bit corney, and I am sad they left out important details such as when Edward hears Bella talking in her sleep and says "Edward Stay" and he falls in love with her... or how you can't even tell that Edward can read minds - I don't think someone who has not read the book would have fully understood what was going on... but, that being said - I really did enjoy the movie. I didn't realize HOW low-budget it was, so I was expecting more... but I think they did a really good job.

I really like the casting - ESPECIALLY Edward Cullen! And I was surprised to find that I liked Esme as well! Emmett cracked me up everytime he opened his mouth and Charlie was just as awkward in the movie as he was in the book. I thought the 'evil' vampires did a GREAT job acting their part!
I am going to see it again on Friday - and I am THRILLED! I am still just as taken by Edward (if not more) than I was when I read the novels.

And can you believe that I went to the showing that DID NOT show the Harry Potter trailer?? I mean what kind of luck is that?!?!? So I am even MORE thrilled that I will finally get to see that trailer on the big screen! So again -
EDWARD CULLEN - I'M COMING BACK FOR MORE!!!!
(could I ever get enough??)

SeaWorld!

Brian and I had such a great time in SeaWorld! It was all decorated for Christmas and it looked SO pretty!!
This was the HUGE Christmas Tree right when you entered the park
A real Clydesdale!!
Doesn't this pic look like a post card??
We got to feed them!
And the trainer brought them up so that we could pet him! It was so awesome! I love the dolphins!
and we saw the Penguins!
And the Shamu Show - Believe
And of course - the Beer Tasting Class :)
That night we had a nice romantic dinner on the RiverWalk... you can't really tell from the picture, but we were right next to the water :)
Then we headed to Durty Nelly's - A bar Brian's Parent's love!
On the way home, Brian HAD to have lunch at Buckies - and surprisingly enough, it was REALLY good!
We had a really GREAT weekend!!

Lincoln, Nebraska

Over Halloween Weekend, Brian and I flew to Lincoln, Nebraska for my friend Brittney’s wedding. We had such a great time! Brittney and Scott (AKA Bride and Groom), had a costume party rehearsal dinner with a costume party for all of the guests after. My friend Ida and I were Candle Lighters so we got to go to the dinner and enjoy all the fun games that were prepared.
Brian and I at Dinner (Barney Rubble and Flapper)
Brittney, Kara, Ida, and Myself
With my Best Friend Kara
The wedding was beautiful and Brittney certainly made one gorgeous bride!! Not to mention Ida and I did not burn any of the guests or catch anyone’s hair on fire!!!Brian and I had such a wonderful weekend there and I got to spend Halloween with some friends that I have not seen in so long!!

CONGRATS TO MR. AND MRS. HUNTER!!!

PS - this was reason for my two 2-hr layovers which I used to get some serious reading done! There are no direct flights to Lincoln, Nebraska, imagine that!

Muggle Monday's

Thanks to Muggle Net for always keeping me updated on my Harry Potter news!
BREAKING NEWS!!!!
On Friday, WarnerBros surprised us all with a release of a new trailer for Half-Blood Prince! This trailer is AWESOME!! CLICK HERE to view it. Also, the trailer will be played in the begining of the Twilight Movie, which comes out on Friday - and which I already have my ticket to of course!!! I can't WAIT to see the trailer and the movie on the big screen! Friday is going to be SO great!!!

Best-selling books of past 15 years
At the end of October USA Today compiled a list of the best-selling books in the past 15 years.
Unsurprisingly, the Harry Potter books took 7 of the top 10 spots. Here's how they ranked:

1) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
2) Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution
3) The Da Vinci Code
4) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
6) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
7) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
8) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
9) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
10) Who Moved My Cheese?

The Tales of the Beedle the Bard
Potter spin-off book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which is set to be released on December 4th of this year, will have an initial print-run by Scholastic of 3.5 million.Publishers Weekly notes that this figure is small compared to Deathly Hallows' hefty 12 million, but still far greater than those of other books coming out this winter.
I, of course already pre-ordered my copy months ago and can’t wait to read it!! But it sure would make a great stocking stuffer or present for any muggle who loves Harry Potter :)

Thompson will not return for Deathly HallowsEmma Thompson will not reprise her role of Professor Trelawney in the two-part Potter finale. Forced to choose between Deathly Hallows and the sequel to Nancy McPhee, Thompson said the choice was obvious.

"The Harry Potters are great big franchises that are something I’m not emotionally attached to or necessarily particularly creatively attached to. That’s more like doing a turn, whereas the Nanny McPhees are something I’ve written. The art is in those films, they’re very handmade, they’re something that’s very close to me. Those are the ones I really care about."

People's Choice Awards Daniel Radcliffe, AKA Harry Potter, is nominated for the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards for: 'Favorite Star Under 35'. Congrats and Good Luck!! You Muggles better go vote!

A pic of me feeding the dolphins :)
There is so much to do!! We can feed the dolphins (which is a MUST for me!), watch the Shamu Show, the Seal Show, take a beer tasting class, ride rollar coasters, and tons of other stuff!
