My FIRST Charity Event

Remember my Busy Weekend post telling you about the charity event I was volunteering at? Well I did it!! When I got there, they asked me to be in charge of the child care. So for 5 hours, I watched little kids. We colored, watched movies (including Land Before Time!!!) and because I was the oldest one watching the kids whenever a baby would come in, they would give them to me… for the most part, they were good, there were only 2 that wouldn’t stop crying so we had to go find Mom for them :)

My tree…

There was one little girl so impressed with this tree that she first she tried to copy it… and then she stole it!! At least I got a picture before she took it though :)

And my fish bowl on a table… Aren’t I such a talented artist?? A bunch of little kids tried to copy this one too… it was cute :)

One little girl showed a drawing of me she made… I looked like a big yellow blob, but of course told her it was beautiful :)

Overall the volunteering was fun and I met some really sweet people… although 5 hours of watching little kids wore me out!!! So instead of going out with my old-new friends, this is what my Saturday night looked like….

a good book and a glass of wine...

Man, I look SUPER tired here! But don’t worry, I am going to hang out with my old-new friends soon!!
