This project started a couple of weeks ago, when I decided to hang curtains in my dining room. I had some pretty scarves, and thought they would go good - but then they came out looking like this...
I hated it. I thought it looked too 'old' for me... So I went for a different 'clean' look and now I love it!
I follow a VERY Creative blogger at Beneath my Heart where she transformed a drop cloth into curtains. Being that I just started sewing, I thought I could handle that! First, I had to paint my old rods... this process took the longest because I had limited room on my patio and it kept raining..

The different colored poles...

They look great! Good job!! I still need to tackle the curtain situation in our house. Well, the lack of curtains, that is. :)
Way to go girl!! I think it looks great! (and I love the pumpkin too!)
I'm just glad you are actually using your sweing machine! Most people buy it and then let it sit there! ;)
I think they look GREAT!!!....good job honey....I love the stone look too, your apt looks so cozy and warm just in time for the Holidays.
Those look great. What a creative idea!
I'm impressed! It looks really good - you still have those Halloween decorations at my house too :)

That is amazing..cause Curtains and such are so expensive. GOOD JOB!
I love the curtains! I randomly made curtains for my dining room....less than 10 hours before the housewarming party! I am glad you didn't have time constraints. I also spray painted my curtain rods because I got them at Ross for really cheap but the were black and I needed brown. When I get a can of spray paint in my hands I think I can do anything...and have tried :-)
