The girls! (Vanessa, Kari, Me, Kara)

On the Boardwalk in Shreveport! (Vanessa, Kara, Me)
With my best friend!
On the way there, we stopped at a Subway for dinner – my total came to $7.77 – which I took as a sign I should definitely gamble! Thank goodness I did!! I came back a couple hundred more in my pocket :) all on black jack – go me!!
But then he got used to it :)
And it is finally cold enough for Vito to start wearing clothes again!! I think this shirt suits him perfectly!
And look how I transformed this picture using a really cool app from my iPhone!!!
See why this little boy has captured my heart?!?!?
Don't forget to carve those pumpkins!! CLICK HERE for the link!! Good Luck!!
Sweet Smile
It's pure joy in that face - she loves her sprinkles too!
I hated it. I thought it looked too 'old' for me... So I went for a different 'clean' look and now I love it!
I follow a VERY Creative blogger at Beneath my Heart where she transformed a drop cloth into curtains. Being that I just started sewing, I thought I could handle that! First, I had to paint my old rods... this process took the longest because I had limited room on my patio and it kept raining..
I bought this textured spray paint which worked great!
This is the drop cloth I bought... The Home Depot guy thought I was a little weird... but just wait until you see the final project!! I had to wash, dry, and iron the drop cloths before I started the sewing, and I had to steam them A LOT because they are so thick...
I made the top!! I was very pleased with the way it came out - and how easy it was!
And then I hemmed the bottom...
Because I re-used items I already had, I only had to purchase the drop cloths and the spray paint. So for around $60.00, I was able to hang curtains in my living room and dining room! YAY me!!
